We have chosen to focus
our tours and Safaris on Cape Town and its environs, Northern KwaZulu - Natal, Mpumalanga Kruger
National Park( all South Africa), and the Botswana and Namibia regions because of the scenic beauty and abundance of wildlife
in these areas. Western Cape Province.
Cape Town, because of its scenic beauty, its excellent accommodation and its
cuisine, is South Africa's International destination of choice.
KwaZulu-Natal,
which covers only a small part of the total land area of South Africa, is rich
in flora and fauna with an incredible diversity of landscapes. In the West
lies the majestic Drakensberg mountains, to the North East , the
Greater St Lucia Wetland Park
(a world heritage site). East of this the mighty
Indian ocean with is sun drenched beaches.
Mpumalanga Province has been endowed with
the Kruger National Park in the east and spectacular mountains (a
continuation of the Drakensberg range) in the West.
Botswana with is
world renowned
Chobe Game Reserve and the Okavango Swamps and
Namibia
for its Namib Desert,
Etosha Pans Game Reserve and
Sossusvlei plus Fish
River Canyon

Typical tours
Kwa Zulu Natal
Two day getaways,
staying in exclusive up-market Bush
camps within
a well stocked Game Park, with all amenities - yet under the African skies.
These tours are suitable for
Corporate Getaways and "surprise weekends". However International Tourists
would find the tour a wonderful way to start their Safari.
Dine in style on one evening in a quaint underground
but well stocked wine cellar restaurant
(7 course Italian style meal). We spend the next day driving through the
local Game Park where we we will see herds of Black and Blue Wildebeest (Gnu)
White Rhinoceros, Hippopotamus, Giraffe as well as Eland and many of the other
antelope species. That evening we enjoy a traditional
South African Braai (Barbecue) or a
Potjie
(A local stew slow cooked in a
black cast iron pot on the fire and under the stars!
The bird life is prolific
and if you take the time you will see
Narina Trogan (that elusive one of the
forest)
Knysna Turaco (Lourie),
Crowned and Trumpeter hornbills. Wake up to the
melodic and mimicking calls of the
Chorister Robin-Chat.
For the more daring, you may
take your evening or morning bath al fresco in and outside "gold tapped " bath under
wide spreading Flat Crown Albezia trees along the local stream bank!

A well
stocked friendly pub, far from the madding crowd, gets us off to a glowing
start before dinner on our first day..
These
amenities are only accessible by 4 x 4 vehicle (which we provide) so you are assured of
absolute privacy.

Hluhluwe
- iMfolozi Game Reserve staying in either luxury Chalets or in well equipped
"main en suite" Safari tents. Here majestic herds of Elephant s,
sometimes up to 70 strong, can be observed from the safety of our vehicle.
Dine in one of Africa's traditional (but up-market) restaurants watching
wildlife (including buffalo) gliding by in the moonlight.
The roar of lions in the distance as well as the hooping calls of the
Spotted Hyena will lull you into a well deserved sleep after a
day of many surprises and new experiences.
For bird lovers this Game Reserve boasts
300+ birds ranking it as one of South Africa prime birding regions.
KRUGER

The Kruger National Park
The Kruger National Park is the second
oldest National Park in Africa and encompasses nearly two million hectares
of African savanna h.
It is 350 kms long and about 60 Kms wide on average.
The Park has many faces and moods.
Extremely hot and humid in Summer and wonderfully cool and crisp in Winter.
A typical 4 -7 Day tour will see you
staying in air-conditioned rondawels or chalets with private amenities. Dinner
and drinks can be either under the stars or in well stocked and managed
bars / restaurants .
This is South Africa's premier Game
Reserve where you are bound to see Lions, Leopards, Cheetah's as well a s
Elephants (in abundance), Impala, Kudu, Warthog, White Rhinoceros and many
other smaller animals. Bird lovers will not be disappointed with over 450
species recorded in the Park
Night drives, which are
operated by the National Parks Authority, are available from most camps (Specialties on these drives are
sightings of Leopard, Elephants and Lion.) Daily game viewing drives
are provided in our own air-conditioned vehicles.
The "Kruger" is one of those places
that, once in your blood, you will be hooked for life.

Typical tours;
Cape Town and the
Peninsula
Tour. 3 -5 Days (or longer) visiting Kirstenbosch
Gardens, Victoria & Albert Waterfront, Robben Island (made famous by Nelson
Mandela's long incarceration there), Hout Bay
Harbour,
Chapmans Peak Drive and Cape Point
Nature Reserve. We also visit the top of Table Mountain, via the famous revolving Cable
Car and then tour the many Wine Routes, tasting the delights of the local
vines. Our tour will take us through beautiful Stellenbosch, Paarl and
Franschhoek valleys. Extended
tours can include the Tsitsikamma National Park as well as the famous
ostrich farms of the Oudshoorn area (Small Karoo).
During August to September annually you
can include a 2 day trip to see the flowers of Namaqualand. See the "desert
glow" in all its glory.

NORTHERN KWA
ZULU-NATAL

Kosi Bay
and Estuary (Maputaland) including
Tembe Elephant Park or Ndumu Game Reserve
These tours are aimed at fisherman, boaters, snorklers
and those who enjoy pristine wildlife areas. Situated on the border with
Mozambique these destinations offer a taste of real rural Africa.
This magnificent region is portrayed in detail in Alan
Mountains book "Paradise under Pressure".
Either camping or staying in comfortable
chalets, these
tours offer a diverse range of activities. We will arrange a boat, skippered by
an experienced licensed skipper, on which you can fish, relax, swim or just
suntan.
4 x 4 Trips to the Estuary (Kosi Mouth) is a must.
Here you can snorkel,
fish
in the surf or just laze and catch a tan. At lake one you will witness the
timeless method of fishing by way of "fish kraals", a practice handed down
from generation to generation. You may even be lucky enough to experience
the ancient ritual of turtle egg laying on the protected beaches.
An option is to spend a day visiting Ndumu Game
Reserve or
Tembe Elephant Park (4x4 only) which are universally known as two
of the best birding areas in Southern Africa (380+ species) because they are
on the bird migratory routes and are used as "stop over points".
Here you will not encounter
tourist hordes, only peace and tranquility in Africa as it used to be.

Battle Fields (Anglo-Zulu Wars) which can include
uKhahlamba - Drakensberg World Heritage site.
Re-live the the battles of
Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift
by visiting the actual sites of these famous battles and experiencing these
dramatic historical events through the story's told by specialist battle
field guides.
Enjoy the Mountain splendor
of the Drakensberg mountains, staying in Chalets or Randawels on the slopes of
the "berg". A walk to the Thukela Gorge below the highest waterfall in
Africa (almost 1000 mtrs) is a must for the moderately fit. (uKhahlamba means
"Barrier of Spears" in Zulu)
BOTSWANA

Botswana visiting Tuli, Nata, Nxai Pans and Chobe National Parks , Moremi
Game Reserve, Okavango Swamps and Makgadikgadi National Parks. ( We will
tailor make any tour to suit your preferences. IE You may wish to include
Namibia in a tour of Botswana
